Forest Church / Comfy Church

FOREST CHURCH / COMFY CHURCH

On the 4th Sunday of every month at 4 p.m. at Churchill Methodist Church everyone is welcome to come along to Forest Church / Comfy Church. Whether you want to go out into the beautiful countryside on our doorstep or stay in doors to take part in activities or chat and drink tea this new adventure is for you.

We had a wonderful first time outing at 4pm on Sunday 26th August when we went off outside walking and looking at nature, enjoying the great outdoors which included picking blackberries!  For those who, for whatever reason, wanted to stay indoors they enjoyed Comfy Church, which included making blackberry muffins, just sitting and chatting or being quiet as we reflected on nature, creating place mats, bunting and a recipe leaflet for the muffins.  Then, when the walkers returned, we enjoyed sitting around, sharing stories of what we had been doing, whilst eating yummy hotdogs and even tastier blackberry muffins and icecream!

We'll be meeting again at 4pm on Sunday 23rd September when we'll be on the search for conkers and looking at trees, finding out if we can see how old they are, and collecting whatever we can find to make dream catchers.  Meanwhile, those who will be at Comfy Church, we'll be making dream catchers and hopefully doing a bit of woodwork as we look at tree circles.  There'll be more going on too.  Hotdogs will again be on the menu.  If you're vegertarian or need a gluten free diet then do not fear, there will be suitable food available.

If you would like any more information, just get in touch by contacting Julie (01934 852314) or Jacquelene (01934 844134) or Ken (01934 852686) or Tim (01934 863067).

The only thing you need is suitable clothing and footwear if you're going out with the Forest Church group.  Everything is free but you can give a donation if you feel you would like to.
