Social Craft

The Social Craft Afternoons an opportunity for friends to meet and share their craft interests. New people find a welcome and can bring their own craft project, learn a new skill from someone else or just come for the companionship and tasty afternoon treats with tea or coffee (refreshments 30p).

The group meets on Wednesday afternoons in school term time, between 2:00 pm and  4:00 pm in the Oasis room at Churchill Methodist Church, As well as taking part in craft activities the group also organises trips and demonstrations. Since January 2015 we have visited the Craft4Crafters exhibition in Exeter, had a demonstration on framing embroidery items and visited Coldhabour Mill-a working woollen mill in Uffculme. On 24th May the recently completed school room banner will be dedicated during the morning service. On Wednesday 3rd June we will welcome a speaker who will be  talking about the history of knitting.

There is plenty for everyone and everyone is welcome.

Please consult the calendar section for the dates of the meetings
